Troy High sports review, through September 26

 The women's tennis season is nearing its end, but the Lady Horses couldn't celebrate Senior Night on Friday for whatever reason. As of press time, we hadn't received a report on Friday's scheduled match vs. Emma Willard.

Let's jump right into it.

Tennis:

Current record: 4-8.

Troy played and won a rare doubleheader vs. Schalmont last Monday. Unfortunately, due to weather, they haven't played since, as a road match vs. Voorheesville was postponed twice due to weather, and we think the home match vs. Emma Willard shared the same fate.

Next: The season closes with a 2 match road trip, starting today at Albany Academy, then at Holy Names on Tuesday, before sectional pairings are announced.

Women's soccer:

Current record: Incomplete.

For reasons unknown, the school has not reported Thursday's home match vs. LaSalle, which wasn't streamed. Might've been rained out, and if so, Troy's record would be 2-6-1 after losing to Ichabod Crane on Saturday, 1-0.

Next: Jarret Farrell's club returns home to play Albany Academy on Tuesday, then a non-league matinee vs. Tamarac on Saturday.

Men's soccer:

Current record: 3-6.

Russ Hines' club snapped a 3 game losing streak in beating Lansingburgh on Saturday. Six games remain, 4 in league play.

Next: Troy hits the road to play Albany Academy Tuesday, then Ballston Spa in a non-league match on Thursday.

Golf:

Current record: 4-6.

Jack O'Keefe's duffers were swept by Albany Academy before placing 6th in the league championships.

Next: A rematch vs. Schalmont on Tuesday, and Senior day vs. LaSalle on Wednesday closes out the regular season.

Football:

Current record: 3-1 (1-0 Class A Capital Division).

Troy kept Columbia winless with a 27-14 verdict on Friday.

Next: Niskayuna, coming off a blowout over Bethlehem, comes to town as the last roadblock for Troy.

Volleyball:

Current record: 8-0? (Not including the Averill Park tournament on 9/26)

That question mark is there because the 9/24 match vs. Lansingburgh was never reported. We've reached out to AD Paul Reinisch, hoping to discern the result.

Next: Talia Valenti's group will have a showdown for 1st place vs. Mohonasen tonight, then return home for a non-league tilt vs. Ballston Spa on Wednesday, and also host Albany on Friday.

Swimming:

Current record: 2-2.

Troy-Averill Park bested Albany, snapping a 2 meet losing streak.

Next: The ladies are idle, save for the Shenendehowa Invitational on Saturday. Regular season action resumes October 8 at Niskayuna.

News & notes

 Ballston Spa grad Ana Gold, after her 1st season in the AUSL, will play for the USA Softball Women's National team at year's end.

Gold and Team USA will head Down Under to Australia for a tournament starting New Year's Eve in Brisbane. Now, all we need to know is if there's a chance to see these games on TV or streaming.
================================================
The two time Arena League champions, the Minnesota Monsters (formerly the Duluth Harbor Monsters) will join AF1 in 2026. The Arena League had a 6-on-6 format, as opposed to other indoor leagues, so, for the Monsters, it's a challenge to upgrade their performance against AF1's best.
================================================
Turns out Scotia and Cohoes weren't the only ones to move their football game to Thursday this week.

Hoosick Falls-Tamarac and Watervliet-Heatly did the same, with Hoosick Falls-Tamarac posting a 31-0 shutout.

High School Fridays: Spartan deja vu (Ballston Spa @ Queensbury, 9/26/25)

 Last week, Burnt Hills came from behind to beat Columbia. Tonight, Section II's other Spartans, from Queensbury, welcomed Ballston Spa to their new turf field. The Scotties came in at 2-1, while Queensbury was coming off a dominant performance against luckless LaSalle last Saturday to pick up their first win of the season.

The Scotties won the toss, and received the opening kickoff. After the teams exchanged "punts", with each quarterback basically pooch-kicking it from a shorter distance than the average punt, the Scotties had the first points of the game late in the 1st quarter, as Chris Duclos took it in himself from 6 yards. The PAT failed, however, and it was 6-0 going into the 2nd quarter.

After another failed possession for the Spartans, Ballston Spa extended its lead, with Ethan Nazarian running it in. This time, Duclos, from an odd but legal formation, converted a 2 point conversion to give B-Spa a 14-0 lead at the break.

The 3rd quarter was largely a defensive battle. Queensbury changed quarterbacks, as Hudson Montgomery, who'd started the 1st three games at QB, replaced Tyler Dorvee. However, Ballston Spa's defense picked him off twice. Forced to punt, the Scotties' defense took a brief siesta, as Tyler Thetburg took the punt 62 yards to the house. 2 sport star Finn Jordi-Donnelly, who'd played soccer earlier in the day, missed the extra point, and it was 14-6. Ballston Spa's Tyler Perkins returned the ensuing kickoff 68 yards, but the Scotties could do nothing with it except go backward, losing yards thanks to the Spartans' defense and some ill-timed penalties.

As the period ended, Dorvee was back at QB, and hit Montgomery for 38 yards. Montgomery was injured on the play, but would return. Less than 2 minutes into the 4th quarter, Dorvee found Marcus Gooden for a TD, then hit Davian Williams for a game-tying 2 point conversion.

Queensbury's defense shut down Duclos and the Scotties from there, and, with under a minute to play, Dorvee ran it in himself from 2 yards out. Jordi-Donnelly, perhaps spent from the earlier game, missed the PAT. On the ensuing kickoff, Ben Sasseman pooched an onside kick, and Thetburg recovered to ice the game. Dorvee took a knee, and it was over. Queensbury had completed a comeback with a 20-14 win. Both teams are now 2-2 on the season, as we're halfway through.

Other scores:

Fonda-Fultonville 48, Coxsackie-Athens 14.

Postponement update, 9/24

 Some Colonial Council schools have, as of press time, postponed matches scheduled for today due to rain.

Women's tennis:

Troy @ Voorheesville has been rescheduled for tomorrow. Good luck with that, since rain is also in the forecast for Thursday.

Ichabod Crane @ Ravena has been rescheduled for Friday.

Golf:

Ichabod Crane @ Ravena. No make-up date set, and with the league championships scheduled for Friday, there isn't much chance it will be made up.

Troy @ Albany Academy. The meet will not be made up.

News & notes

 It ain't exactly the Albany Cup, which is basketball only, but UAlbany & Siena hooked up in men's soccer on Tuesday.

The game ended in a scoreless draw. The two teams have nearly identical records, except that Siena has played one fewer game to this point, leaving them at 2-4-1 opposite the Great Danes at 2-4-2.

News & notes

 AF1 will have a new look in 2026.

Two of the teams, the Salina Liberty & Southwest Kansas Storm, are moving to the National Arena League for next season. The league, which expelled the Albany Empire during the disaster that was the 2023 season when Antonio Brown was in town, is based largely in the Midwest, and more of a fit for Salina & Southwest Kansas.

Meanwhile, former Albany Firebird Darius Prince has signed with the expansion Kentucky Barrels that will play next year, along with the NAL champs, the Beaumont Renegades.
===================================================
You've noticed that Canajoharie & Fort Plain have merged for a number of sports.

Now, the Albany Times-Union is reporting that the two districts could take the next step, and merge outright, due to declining attendance at both high schools.

Stay tuned.
====================================================
UAlbany placed 12th at the Nittany Lions' women's golf invitational at Penn State. The host school won the tournament, which attracted teams from both major conferences (i.e. Big 10, Ivy League) and mid-majors (i.e. America East).
====================================================
Monday's high school scoreboard:

Field hockey:

Corinth 5, Coxsackie-Athens 1.

Queensbury 4, Hoosick Falls 3.

Greenwich 9, Corinth 0.

LaSalle 2, Glens Falls 1.

Women's volleyball:

Saratoga Catholic 3, Tamarac 0.

Tennis:

Troy 4, Schalmont 3 (x2). The teams actually played two shorter meets, per Troy AD Paul Reinisch, due to a lack of players for the Sabres. Troy won both, so the record is now 4-8.

News & notes

 UAlbany picked up its 1st win of the season Saturday night, taking down Cornell, 14-10.

Don't think that the start of league play will help change the Great Danes' fortunes, though. There is a reason Jared Ambrose is still the "interim" head coach........
===================================================
LaSalle has made some changes to their hockey schedule, precipitated by Albany Academy's departure last month from the CDHSHL. The two dates previously scheduled---December 12 @ AA, and February 6 at Knickerbacker Ice Arena----are now listed as TBA.

Also, LaSalle & Bethlehem have changed the dates for their season series, which is now 3 games instead of 2 (don't ask). The Cadets will travel to Delmar on December 10 and February 7, while the Eagles visit the Knick on January 10. The December 13 game, originally vs. Bethlehem, is now vs. Northeastern Clinton out of the Syracuse area.

Expect more changes.
======================================================
LaSalle football, on the other hand, is 0-3 after getting blanked by Queensbury, 34-0, on Saturday. Mark Galuski's undermanned squad needs to figure it out, and quickly, otherwise, the Collar City Cup will be heading back to Troy High come the latter's senior night on October 17. This after Troy blew out Mohonasen & South Glens Falls by a combined 115-33 in their last two games.
=======================================================
Troy's remaining schedule figures to be in their favor, meaning, as I suggested yesterday, they could move up in the seeding in the playoffs. The remaining 5 games:

Friday: @ Columbia (0-3).

October 3: Niskayuna (2-1).

October 10: Bethlehem (1-2).

October 17: LaSalle (0-3).

October 24: @ Amsterdam (1-2).

Keep in mind that Nisky struggled to beat Cicero-North Syracuse, and they are vulnerable, as Shenendehowa demonstrated a week prior. 7-1 or 6-2 is do-able. Stay tuned.

Troy High sports review, through September 20

 We wrote before about how Catholic Central is not fielding a men's basketball team this season, which is why Troy High scheduled Watervliet-Heatly in its place (January 2, Zotto Gym), but a quick check of the Colonial Council standings for fall sports shows that Catholic Central/Holy Trinity is not on the calendar for any sport, other than women's golf (and Troy doesn't have a women's golf team anymore), which suggests deeper problems for CCHS since relocating their campus to Latham a couple of years back.

Just needed to get that out there.

Now, let's get to recapping this week's action:

Football:

Current record: 2-1.

Jordan Canzeri's squad squashed South Glens Falls, 61-14, on Friday night. We haven't seen blowouts like this in favor of Troy since Bob Burns' run (2015-21), and, coincidentally, Burns & CBA scrimmaged Troy before the start of the season!

Next: Winless Columbia welcomes Troy on Friday after losing to Burnt Hills on Friday. Assuming Niskayuna's coaches have copies of game films, their trip to Troy on October 3 suddenly isn't the cupcake they thought it was! The Nisky game opens a 3 game homestand for Troy, with Bethlehem & LaSalle to follow before the Flying Horses close the season at Amsterdam. Suddenly, you get the feeling Troy could finish 2nd in the Capital Division, not 3rd, as a certain analyst suggest, or, they could upset Nisky and the whole applecart, then run the table.

Volleyball:

Current record 6-0 (4-0 Colonial Council).

A reminder that this does not include an 8-2 ledger at the Lansingburgh Invitational last week. Troy defeated Tamarac, Ravena, & LaSalle since then.

Next: Talia Valenti's group visits Cohoes on Tuesday, before returning home to play Lansingburgh on Thursday. After that, it's another tournament, this time at Averill Park, on Saturday.

Golf:

Current record: Incomplete.

We are waiting for the result of Friday's match vs. Voorheesville after Troy completed a season sweep of Ravena on Thursday. We will update when we get the information.

Next: Just 3 matches left, with the league championships scheduled for Friday. Jack O'Keefe's duffers are off until they visit Albany Academy on Wednesday. Then, it'll be a rematch vs. LaSalle on Thursday, the league championships on Friday, and the regular season ends September 30 vs. Schalmont.

Men's soccer:

Current record: 3-4.

Russell Hines' group dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Mohonasen on Thursday night, spoiling the momentum from beating Lansingburgh 2 nights earlier.

Next: The guys host Ichabod Crane on Tuesday night, then travel across town to play LaSalle on Thursday night before a rematch vs. Lansingburgh Saturday afternoon.

Women's soccer:

Current record 2-5-1.

Jarret Farrell's Lady Horses aren't surprising anyone anymore. Troy dropped a 2-0 decision to Cohoes last night, their 2nd straight shutout loss after falling to Mohonasen, 8-0, on Thursday.

Next: The ladies are idle until Thursday, when they host LaSalle. After that, they visit Ichabod Crane on Saturday for a lunch special.

Tennis:

Current record: 2-8.

Trevor McCarthy's team picked up their first two wins of the season to start the week, but the momentum was blunted with losses to Ichabod Crane & Ravena.

Next: The week starts with a home match vs. Schalmont, rescheduled from last month. Troy then hits the road to play Voorheesville on Wednesday before returning home for a rematch vs. Emma Willard on Friday.

Swimming:

Current record: 1-2.

Troy/Averill Park fell to Shaker on Wednesday.

Next: Albany is on deck this Wednesday.

High School Fridays: The Marshall Plan (Burnt Hills @ Columbia, 9/19/25)

 For the 2nd straight year, Burnt Hills opened the season 0-2. For the 2nd straight year, they lost their opener to Cornwall. Tonight, they were in East Greenbush for the 2nd year in a row, to play Columbia. We wonder if the schedule makers in Section II were trying to play some sort of a joke on Kevin DeBonis and the Spartans.

Unlike last year, Burnt Hills, looking to reverse recent trends, opted to take the opening kickoff. Unfortunately, neither offense got off to a good start, as Columbia, also 0-2 going in, couldn't get anything going early. Worse, the Blue Devils lost starting QB Tyler Connolly to a concussion 2 plays into the game. Sean Boniface, who had been moved to wide receiver to start the game, went back to QB. He had the Devils on the move as time expired in the first quarter.

On the first play of the 2nd quarter, Boniface hit Matt Burek for a 10 yard touchdown. JJ Miller added the extra point, and Columbia had a 7-0 lead.

Back came the Spartans. Their starting QB, Dan Olmstead, was ineffective and benched in favor of Eddie Barone. DeBonis decided to keep the ball on the ground, entrusting the running game to Peyton Marshall. This plan worked, as Marshall ran it in from about 10 yards out, but the PAT by Logan Tomlinson, the subject of a feature piece in today's Albany Times-Union, was blocked.

Columbia came right back, and Boniface found Burek again, this time from 7 yards, but Miller's extra point failed, and the Blue Devils went into the break up 13-6. The 13 points matched their season total through two games.

Things changed in the 3rd quarter. A lengthy Spartans drive led to Marshall's 2nd touchdown of the game, this time from 3 yards, but Tomlinson had his kick blocked again. Then, Kaiden Carey took the ensuing kickoff 90 yards to the house, and it was now 20-12, Columbia, heading into the final frame.

Burnt Hills stuck with Marshall and the ground game, and Marshall ran it in again from 8 yards with just under 4 mnutes left. Unfortunately, the 2 point conversion failed. Tomlinson, seeking to redeem himself, put the Spartans in prime position to win by hitting a pooch kick, recovered by Burnt Hills after it was muffed by Columbia. 2 1/2 minutes later, Marshall ran it in one more time, though there was some confusion between the officials. This is where not having replay in high school is a problem. Again, the 2 point conversion failed.

On the final drive, Tomlinson earned some more redemption by picking off Boniface to end the game. Barone took a knee, and that was it. Burnt Hills picks up a hard earned 24-20 win. Columbia falls to 0-3, and, uh-oh. Guess who's coming for dinner next week? Troy, which blew away South Glens Falls, 61-14. The Bulldogs begin division play at Burnt Hills.

Other scores:

Glens Falls 51, Cohoes 0.

Ichabod Crane/Chatham 30, Green Tech 6.

Averill Park 21, Schalmont 7. The Golden Knights play Glens Falls next week.

Granville-Whitehall 44, Broadalbin-Perth 15.

CBA 40, Saratoga 21. The Brothers snap a 3 game losing streak dating back to the 2024 state title game.

Shenendehowa 21, Guilderland 20.

Mohonasen 14, Bethlehem 13.

Spectrum viewers lost the last 70+ seconds of the first quarter due to a production error at the studio, as a commercial block started too early. Announcers Chris Watson & James Allen were unaware of the issue.

News & notes

 When we posted Troy High's basketball schedule the other day, we couldn't help but notice that Catholic Central was left off the men's schedule.

Now, we know why.

WNYT's Rodger Wyland reported earlier this week that due to reduced enrollment that left Guy DiBacco with just 2 players, CCHS decided not to field a men's basketball team this year. The women will still play, but now you know why Troy filled the holes created by CCHS' absence and the defection of Albany Academy's men's team to NEPSAC earlier this summer with non-league games. Some players transferred from CCHS to Green Tech to play for Will Brown. Others left the area entirely.

Stay tuned.
==================================================
Congratulations to Burnt Hills volleyball coach Gary Bynom, who earned career win #900 Thursday, as the Lady Spartans downed Guilderland, 3-1, in Suburban Council play.
=================================================
We wrote before how reporter Kyle Adams, in the space of the last two years, has gone from El Cheapo Media to the Daily Gazette to the Albany Times-Union.

In turn, Drew Wemple, after a year or so with El Cheapo, is now at the Gazette. Wemple arrived kind of quietly after El Cheapo let "Average" Joe Boyle walk several months back. To fill the void, Mike Gwizdala is back in the sports department at El Cheapo, where he'd started his career a few years ago.

Now, if only El Cheapo made their website more accessible to the average fan.....
====================================================
Chuck Miller touched on this earlier this week on his blog, but it bears noting that other media outlets are finally catching up to the news that former Albany Patroons coach Charley Rosen, who was promoted to head coach when Phil Jackson returned to the NBA to begin his historic run with the Chicago Bulls, passed away last weekend at 84. Rosen was an accomplished author as well, and, like Miller, a sports historian.

Rest in peace, Charley.

News & notes

 For fans in the 518, an old skit from Hee Haw comes to mind, to the beat of "Gloom, Despair, & Agony On Me". Trust me, after what happened on Saturday, you'd be thinking of it, too.

Gloom: The Tri-City Valleycats were eliminated Saturday in the Frontier League playoffs vs. Quebec. The defending champs outscored the 'Cats to the tune of 27-7 in the final two games to advance to the finals for the 4th straight year.

With the 'Cats out of the tournament, baseball season is officially over in the 518, save for those of us armchair managers watching the big leaguers.

Despair: UAlbany is 0-3 under interim coach Jared Ambrose, and will host Cornell on Saturday night. No one saw this coming, but they should've, as UAlbany hasn't been the same since losing in the FCS semifinals nearly 2 years ago.

FWIW, due to WTMM's commitments to Yankee baseball, the Albany-Cornell game will be heard on 103.9 FM this weekend. The Great Danes will be back on WTMM on September 27 for the road game at New Hampshire.

Can Ambrose get the interim label off? Something tells me the answer to that is no, but I hope I'm wrong.

Agony: Christian Brothers Academy-Albany coach Bob Burns is in uncharted territory, with the Brothers on a 3 game losing streak dating back to last year's state title game. Burns' squad had a chance for revenge against their counterparts from Syracuse on Saturday, and were instead blown out of the stadium, 42-9. Luckily, Class AA play begins for CBA on Friday. Burns never lost more than a game at a time prior to the current streak, be it at CBA or Troy.
====================================================
The Lansingburgh volleyball invitational wasn't reported to the press for unknown reasons, but we do know that Bethlehem won the tournament, defeating Troy in the finals. Meanwhile, Galway won their own tournament, which was smaller in scope by comparison.

Troy High sports review, through September 13

 Momentum is, and always has been, a tricky thing. As we're about to find out, Troy High teams have had issues with momentum.

Women's swimming & diving:

Current record: 1-1.

Troy/Averill Park opened the season by defeating Schenectady on Wednesday, but then, they were blown out of the pool by Bethlehem on Friday, 115-67.

Next: The Flying Golden Knights travel to Shaker on Wednesday.

Football:

Current record: 1-1.

Despite blowing out Mohonasen on Friday, 54-19, Troy's staff never submitted a box score to the press. Weird.

Nest: It's back on the road, this time at South Glens Falls.

Women's soccer:

Current record: 1-3-1 (1-2 Colonial Council).

Jarret Farrell's squad went 0-2 for the week, losing to Ravena at home before going on the road and dropping a 2-0 decision to Hoosic Valley (Wasaren League).

Next: The ladies return home to play Lansingburgh on Tuesday before road games at Mohonasen (Thursday) & Cohoes (Saturday for Cohoes' Homecoming).

Men's soccer:

Current record: 2-3.

After starting the week on a 2 game win streak, Russ Hines' crew finishes it on a 2 game losing streak, falling to Ravena and Cohoes.

Next: The guys are at Lansingburgh Tuesday afternoon, then are back under the lights Thursday vs. Mohonasen.

Golf:

Current record: 4-3.

Jack O'Keefe's group got back on the winning track this week, beating Mohonasen & Lansingburgh, to get to .500 on the season.

Next: The Flying Horses are at Ichabod Crane on Tuesday, then return home for Ravena on Thursday & Voorheesville on Friday.

Update, 9/15: Troy's website has the golf team at 4-3. Easily figured out. Troy beat Ravena, and their home match vs. Ichabod Crane was rained out, with no make up date yet announced. They'll then play for the sweep against Ravena on Thursday.

Volleyball:

Current record: 3-0 (not including the Lansingburgh Invitational on Saturday).

As of press time, we have no results from Saturday's marathon at the 'Burgh. Still, heading into the event, Talia Valenti's club had dropped just 1 set, shutting out Schalmont earlier in the week.

Next: The Lady Horses are at Tamarac for a non-league clash on Monday, followed by a trip to Ravena on Tuesday before returning home to play LaSalle on Thursday.

Tennis:

Current record: 0-6.

New coach, same problems. If Trevor McCarthy isn't the answer, maybe Troy should plumb the archives to find a coach who can relate to today's players. The most recent loss, at home vs. Ravena, was not reported.

Next: It's a busy week, as Mohonasen-Schenectady comes in Monday, with the Lady Horses starting another stretch of four meets in five days. They host Maple Hill on Tuesday, then hit the road to play Ichabod Crane (Wednesday) & a rematch with Ravena (Friday).

High School Fridays: Shenendehowa @ Niskayuna, or, what's in a name, anyway?, 9/12/25

 To borrow from Howard Jones, the fans of Shenendehowa & Niskayuna would rather cling to the things they prize, that is to say, their former team nicknames, rather than embrace change.

Shen vs. Nisky, however, is just too vanilla.

The former Plainsmen could've taken the sensible route, for example, and embraced the equally popular label of the Green Machine, but, then, there would probably be issues with a certain band of superhero turtles, who often refer to themselves as the Green Machine as well. Niskayuna, on the other hand, could've simply substituted "Silver Warriors" with, say, Silver Streaks or Silver Sentinels, but the folks there didn't think of it.

Tonight's Spectrum News 1 game of the week had plenty of drama on the field, though.

Shen won the toss, and opted to take the ball first. The strategy paid dividends almost immediately, as junior quarterback Jack Clawson, the coach's son, hit Brendan Hesnor for a 43 yard score with about 3 1/2 minutes left, after the teams had exchanged punts. With the extra point, Shen led, 7-0, heading into the 2nd quarter.

It wasn't long before Shen scored again, as Joey Cardinale ran it in from 4 yards out to make it 14-0.

Then, Nisky senior Cameron Grasso took over.

Grasso, heading to UAlbany next year, took over at QB after sophomore starter Tom Boler couldn't get the offense going, and sprinted 69 yards to paydirt. The play took just 9 seconds after Nisky took possession.

Shen began to self inflict defensive wounds with penalties, and on the next Nisky possession, Grasso and friends made Shen pay. After Omari Forrest got them well into the red zone, Grasso finished it off with a 1 yard run. The extra point made it a tie game at the break at 14-14.

In the 3rd quarter, Nisky held the ball for most of the frame, but stalled in the red zone, and a Boler pass on 4th down to Grasso would've gone for a touchdown, except that Grasso was called for an illegal shift. Nisky turned the ball over on downs, and Shen cashed in, with Cardinale scoring again, this time from 6 yards, to put the guests back in front, 21-14, going into the final quarter.

Just 3 minutes into the frame, Joey DiPiazza, whose father starred for Nisky years ago, and had a cup of coffee working at Spectrum News 1 a few years back, ran it in from 10 yards to tie the game back up at 21. Nisky had their chances to win the game, but squandered, after Shen regained the lead on their next possession. Cardinale completed the hat trick, running it in from 8 yards this time. On Niskayuna's final possession, a 4th down pass from Boler to Grasso came up short of the goal, and Shen escapes with a 28-21 win.

Next week: Shen returns home to host Guilderland, Nisky stays home to entertain Cicero-North Syracuse, and the game of the week sees Burnt Hills at Columbia.

Other scores:

Amsterdam 34, Schenectady 0.

Fonda-Fultonville 35, Granville-Whitehall 30.

Whatever your personal feelings are about Kirk and his political views, they should be moved to the side as we mourn, as a nation, his passing.
