More than two months after winning ArenaBowl, the Albany Empire, and the rest of the Arena Football League, for that matter, have been shut down due to a lawsuit stemming from some earlier issues that predate the Empire's existence.

20 years ago, the Albany Firebirds moved out of town after winning ArenaBowl. This time, it's not the same, as explained above, but for local fans, it does feel like deja vu. A very bad deja vu.
