News & notes

Rodger Wyland, in today's Albany Times-Union, was touting the prospects of UAlbany's women's basketball team in the WNIT, which, like the NCAA tournaments, starts Thursday.

However, the Lady Danes will play in the WBIT vs. St. Joseph's, Thursday night. The WNIT screwed Albany by giving Bryant the automatic qualifier.

Siena, meanwhile, has qualified, and will play an opponent to be named when the seeds are finalized later today.
