To illustrate the cruelty of spring weather patterns, Troy High's baseball & softball teams were right back at it on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the losing continued at Colonie.
Troy softball's offense perked up after getting plastered, 16-0, by Shenendehowa on Tuesday, but coach Sean Geisel's club dropped their third straight, 7-5 to the Garnet Raiders. On the men's side, Troy's anemic offense was held to just three hits in a 11-1 loss.
The boys are back at it today---weather permitting, of course----at home vs. Green Tech in a non-league game, scheduled for 4:15, while the lacrosse team, also looking for a win, is on the road at Albany before coming home to play Shen on Saturday morning.
In order to qualify for sectionals, baseball teams need six wins. Think the same is true for softball. At this rate, Troy's baseball team might miss their 2nd straight post-season. Stay tuned.
