For teams such as Albany Academy and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, who played yesterday, there was no rest of the weary, as they had to turn around and return to action today. Here's today's baseball results, courtesy of the Glens Falls Post-Star:

Class A:

Queensbury 3, South Glens Falls 0.
Ballston Spa 9, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 8 (8 innings).
Averill Park 2, Mohonasen 1.
Amsterdam 10, Albany Academy 0.

The Cadets, 2-time Class B champions, only go as far as the quarters in Class A. With Academy, Mohonasen, & LaSalle losing, the Colonial Council is again denied in Classes AA & A.

Class B:

Mechanicville 6, Schalmont 2.
Schuylerville 10, Catskill 0.
Coxsackie-Athens 2, Hudson 1.
Ravena 7, Tamarac 3.

Class C:

Chatham 19, Lake George 3.
Hoosick Falls 5, Canajoharie 1.

The Wildcats were last season's champions, and thus we will have new champions in Class C this year.
