At the rate things are going for Lansingburgh, their football team might need an extended hiatus.

The Knights have scored a grand total of 19 points in three games, all blowout losses, the latest a 57-7 shellacking at the hands of Schalmont on Friday night. The Sabres led, 44-0, at the break. Until the school district reinstates the school's band, cheerleaders, and junior varsity football, the Knights will remain the dregs of Class B.

Troy High's boys' soccer team snapped a four game winless string Thursday afternoon, beating Ballston Spa, 2-1. Mike Murnane's club will entertain Shaker this morning. The women, though, will be at Shaker after dropping a 3-0 decision to the Lady Scotties on Thursday night at Picken Field. B-Spa also registered shutouts in tennis & volleyball, though the tennis match was not reported to the usual outlets.

Former LaSalle quarterback Joe Germinerio transferred from Brockport to Ithaca for his senior season. This is significant because Germinerio will have a sort of homecoming when Ithaca comes to town to play RPI on November 9.
