Sectional results, 2/27

Women's Class A:

Averill Park 78, Mohonasen 32. The Warriors treated their former Suburban Council rival like a stepping stone, jumping out to a 45-12 halftime lead. The Wood sisters, Amelia & Kelsey, combined for 32 points, equaling Mohon's total for the evening. Anna Jankovic added 15 for the Warriors.

Troy 55, Amsterdam 44. Jenalyse Alarcon, who missed last year's playoffs, was a big factor, leading all scorers with 25 points. Jakaiya Dewer added 13. Troy was down, 15-5, after the first period, but turned things around with a 21-4 run in the second, and never looked back.
