Troy High notes, 10/10

It took an extra day, but the newly united Troy High/Averill Park women's swimming & diving team took to the pool Friday vs. another newly created union, Scotia-Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, on the road at Burnt Hills. The hosts came away with a 106-67 win. The AP/Troy team will be back in the pool on Thursday.

Troy's women's soccer team still hasn't won a game in three tries, but they found the net in playing to a 2-2 draw with Albany under the lights. Troy is now 0-2-1, and Justin Haviland's club is now idle until October 20, when they return home to play Columbia.

This is due to Schenectady postponing their first two varsity matches, on the women's side, including a home game vs. Troy, set for Tuesday, due to coronavirus concerns. The men's soccer team is on the pitch now at Picken Field vs. the Falcons, and we should have a result later today.

Friday's women's tennis match between Troy & Guilderland was not reported, which leads one to think that, too, might've been postponed.
