News & notes

UAlbany has released its full basketball schedules for both the men and women for the coming season. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, there will be no fans at SEFCU Arena.

For the men, there are no home-&-home conference series this season. Instead, there will be two game series each weekend through the end of February once conference play starts. Now, you have to hope UAlbany follows RPI's lead and starts streaming the games live on their website.

The men's schedule:

Nov. 25 at Niagara
Nov. 28 Marist
Dec. 3-4 BHOF Tip-Off Tournament
Dec. 9 Colgate
Dec. 19-20 UMBC*
Dec. 23 Bryant
Jan. 2-3 at Vermont*
Jan. 9-10 Stony Brook*
Jan. 16-17 NJIT*
Jan. 23-24 at New Hampshire*
Jan. 30-31 UMass Lowell*
Feb. 6-7 at Maine*
Feb. 18-19 Binghamton*
Feb. 27-28 at Hartford*

And for the women:

Nov. 29 Central Connecticut State
Dec. 2 Siena
Dec. 5 at Marist
Dec. 9 at Hofstra
Dec. 15 at Army West Point
Dec. 19-20 at UMBC*
Jan. 2-3 Vermont*
Jan. 9-10 at Stony Brook*
Jan. 16-17 at NJIT*
Jan. 23-24 New Hampshire*
Jan. 30-31 at UMass Lowell*
Feb. 6-7 Maine*
Feb. 13-14 at Binghamton*
Feb. 27-28 Hartford*

As you can see, the women will, per tradition, play at the opposite site of the men's series. So far, there isn't a men's game vs. Siena, as that series came to an end two years ago.

Troy High's cross country team fell again on Saturday, as both teams were defeated by Colonie. Still waiting for confirmation on a meet that was moved forward on the calendar to last Monday vs. Albany, but not reported.
