Well, it was fun while it lasted.
The NBA Finals will start tomorrow with Phoenix, which hasn't reached the finals since 1993, taking on Milwaukee, which hasn't been in title contention since the 70's. The Bucks eliminated Atlanta on Saturday night to take the Eastern Conference finals in 6 games. Kevin Huerter was held to just 5 points on Saturday, after netting only 8 in game 5 on Thursday.
The upside? Training camps will start in October.

The Albany Dutchmen made the most of a rare Sunday night game. In fact, it's the last Sunday game on the schedule, as they routed Glens Falls, 9-3, at East Field. Time, though, is running out on the Dutchmen if they want to advance to the postseason at the end of the month.

WCWN's bias toward the Yankees was showing this weekend.
The station, as we've reported, no longer carries the WPIX Mets pre-game show, but continues to produce, through sister station WRGB, a Yankee pre-game show.
But, ultimately, the joke was on the CW affiliate, as the Mets beat the Yankees, 8-3, on Saturday before splitting a doubleheader on Sunday.
Maybe that'll teach 'em.

Don't look now, but the Tri-City Valleycats are making a move toward a playoff spot.
The 'Cats completed a sweep of Equipe Quebec on Sunday, winning the completion of Saturday's suspended game, 5-1, before taking the nightcap, 3-1. Due to continued travel restrictions between the US & Canada for common folks, Equipe Quebec returns to Bruno Stadium July 23, when the Valleycats were supposed to be heading to Canada.
The Valleycats, of course, are off today before welcoming the NY Boulders on Tuesday.
Speaking of the 'Cats, someone should let WROW morning host Ben Patton know we do want to hear about them right along with the Mets, Yankees, & Red Sox weekday mornings. Just sayin'.
