 Bowling season has started in Section II, as there were openers in the Colonial Council & Patroon Conference on Tuesday afternoon. The scoring system varies from one league to another, much like in golf.

Colonial Council:

Lansingburgh 31, Cobleskill-Richmondville 1.

Patroon Conference:

Maple Hill 5, Taconic Hills 0.

UAlbany announced Tuesday that football coach Greg Gattuso will return in 2022 to work the final year of his contract. The Great Danes had a poor season this year, winning just 2 games, but the school is hoping things will turn around next year.

Siena is still looking for its first win in women's basketball.


Coach Jim Jabir's Saints are 0-4 after dropping a Tuesday matinee to New Hampshire, 59-45. Freshman Valencia Fontanelle-Posson (Guilderland) saw limited action and didn't score.
