News & notes

COVID-19 continues to disrupt the sports scene in the 518.

RPI & Union have postponed hockey games for both the men's & women's teams for this weekend, and RPI has also paused the men's basketball program.

Troy High, for the 2nd straight day, had basketball games postponed.

The Flying Horses were to open a 4 game homestand for the women vs. Saratoga. Someone forgot to notify the people in charge of their YouTube stream, and viewers got a live look at some indoor fungoes ahead of baseball season, which was amusing. The Lady Streaks, who should definitely have leading scorer Natasha Chudy back, will visit Zotto Memorial Gym on January 12. Start time stays the same at 6 pm.

Meanwhile, the men were to begin a 4 game road trip at Saratoga. Now, the trip starts in Ballston Spa on Friday, and the Saratoga game's been moved to January 10 at 6 pm, meaning John Killian's club will play three games in the space of four days, making this road trip even more brutal.

LaSalle's game at Lansingburgh was also postponed, and rescheduled for January 19.
