News & notes

 I'd imagine the Albany Times-Union, in particular, is getting some negative feedback from parents about the lack of scores from high school baseball, softball, & lacrosse so far this season. Many of the scores appearing today are from Monday's games that weren't reported in time for the Tuesday deadline. Space considerations, because of other events, are another culprit. Bear with us.
=====================================
Colby Rogers has decided to transfer from Siena, citing the need to play at a higher level. In other words, Rogers is angling to play in a bigger league, like one of the Power 5 conferences.

Writing in the Times-Union today, WNYT's Rodger Wyland said that the transfer portal has become a problem for a lot of schools, citing some players getting bad advice (DUH!), leading to those decisions.
