Most, but not all, of Thursday's sectionals were postponed due to rain. Games that were rained out will be played today.
For Troy High, the #2 seed in Class A softball, their home game vs. Mohonasen was moved up to a 12 noon starting time. Originally, the teams agreed to a 1 pm first pitch, but the game was moved up an additional hour. The Mighty Warriors' last visit to Troy last month was also threatened with rain, but Troy won that game.

The first Education Day game in three years at Joe Bruno Stadium saw the Tri-City Valleycats dismantle the Lake Erie Crushers, 10-6. Denis Phipps homered twice, and Jonah Girand added one for the 'Cats. Girand was traded by the Crushers to Tri-City during spring training. Tri-City opens a weekend series tonight vs. the Windy City Thunderbolts.
