Don't look now, but Union College is closing in on a national title. In lacrosse.
The Dutchmen play in Division III in lacrosse, as opposed to Division I in football, hockey, etc., but just the same, they'll be traveling to East Hartford May 29 to play for the DIII title vs. Rochester Institute of Technology. Game time is 1 pm.

When the Albany Empire & Jacksonville Sharks kicked off Sunday afternoon, it was raining. Albany, coming off a bye week, completed a season sweep of the Sharks, 62-29.
The Empire (3-1) travel to Columbus on Saturday before returning home to MVP Arena on June 4.

The late afternoon rain was enough to force a postponement of the series finale between the Tri-City Valleycats and Windy City Thunderbolts. Today is a travel day for the 'Cats, who will play the Washington Wild Things starting tomorrow. The Wild Things are not scheduled to visit Bruno Stadium this season.
