For Section II, next stop: Middletown

 Section II teams were a perfect 5-for-5 over the weekend in state regional play, capped by a dominating performance by Warrensburg/Lake George/North Warren on Sunday.

The Wolverines set school & state records in destroying Gouveneur, 85-34 at Mechanicville. Meanwhile, Cambridge-Salem tripped up Alexander, 12-7, at Broadalbin-Perth, to secure a semi-final date.


All 5 semi-final games, spread over two days, will be played at Middletown High, just outside of Poughkeepsie. The schedule:

Friday:

Class D:

Cambridge-Salem vs. Moriah, 3 pm.

Class A:

Niskayuna vs. Somers, 6 pm. 

Saturday:

Class C:

Warrensburg/Lake George/North Warren vs. O'Neill, 12 noon.

Class B:

Ravena vs. Pleasantville, 3 pm.

Class AA:

CBA vs. Newburgh Free Academy, 6 pm. CBA coach Bob Burns has beaten Newburgh before, when he was at Troy (2016-17).
