News & notes

A quick word to the wise for Troy High fans. Aktivate is reporting that tonight's men's basketball game at Newburgh High (or is it Newburgh Free Academy?) has been cancelled. No make-up date will be set. No explanation given for the late change.

What that means is that after a home game vs. Albany on Friday, John Killian's Flying Horses (5-3 overall, 4-1 Suburban Council) will embark on a long road trip as follows:

January 17: @ Schenectady.

January 20: @ Guilderland.

January 24: @ Averill Park (make-up game from 12/16).

January 27: @ Shenendehowa.

January 29: @ Bishop Ludden.

We're still not sure if the men will actually accompany the women to Kingston on January 21. As reported recently, the men's game was taken off Aktivate's schedule.
