Monday's high school scoreboard, 4/17

Morning rains forced the Suburban Council to move Monday's baseball slate to today. It would appear that the same holds for softball, with one big exception.

Shenendehowa crushed Schenectady, 18-0, in five innings, keeping the Lady Patriots winless. Troy's baseball & softball teams will try again today vs. Saratoga, but the tennis meet between the two schools was postponed to May 2.

In other action:

Baseball:

Western Athletic Conference:

Duanesburg 1, Fort Plain 0.
Fonda-Fultonville 25, Mayfield 0 (5 innings). The Braves plated 11 runs in the 1st, and 10 more in the 2nd. 3 Fonda pitchers combined for a no-hitter.

Women's lacrosse:

Foothills Council:

Queensbury 23, Scotia-Glenville 5.

Softball:

Western Athletic Conference:

Duanesburg 13, Fort Plain 1 (6 innings).

Flag football:

Troy won their first ever flag football game, defeating Rhinebeck, 6-0, in overtime. Spectrum News 1's Jackson Wang was at the game, and tweeted the result, which Troy shared on its Twitter feed.
