 Mike Kwarta is back in the arena football business.

Kwarta, who foolishly sold the Albany Empire to Antonio Brown earlier this year, and watched the Empire implode under Brown's watch, is reportedly reviving the Albany Firebirds for next season.

Kwarta, and some so-far-unnamed business partners, will hold a press conference at MVP Arena on Monday. What isn't clear yet is if the new Firebirds will play in the Indoor Football League or the revived Arena Football League.

None of this would be happening if Kwarta had done his due diligence on Brown and his diva behavior in the NFL six months ago. Had he done so, the Empire would've finished the season.

Damon Ware will return to coach the new Firebirds. You know what they say about a Phoenix rising from the ashes? It may apply to the Firebirds, too.
