 Of the 4 Section II men's soccer teams in state regional play Saturday, three went home winners, advancing to the next round.

The lone blotch on the record belongs to Shaker, which fell to Baldwinsville in overtime, 2-1, in a Class AAA regional.

Guilderland 2, CBA-Syracuse 1 ((OT).

Class B:

Mechanicville 2, Canton 0.

Class C:

Waterford 6, Brushton-Moira 1.

Class D champ Loudonville Christian now knows they'll play Chazy on Friday.

Champions were crowned in the pool in Section II swimming & diving for women on Saturday. Host Shenendehowa rolled to a sectional championship in Division 1.by over 200 points over their closest pursuers, Bethlehem & Niskayuna. Troy-Averill Park-Tamarac finished 5th.

In Division 2, Burnt Hills' unified team with Scotia-Glenville won top honors. LaSalle finished 10th, while Emma Willard placed 3rd.

Speaking of LaSalle, they closed out their football season Friday with a 33-12 crossover win over Saratoga. John Audino's club will go into the off-season wondering what might've been had it not been for a simple administrative error that took them out of the playoffs two weeks ago.
