Monday's high school scoreboard, 2/19

We are now down to 4 in the CDHSHL playoffs.

There were two upsets among the four games on Monday, leading to Thursday's semi-finals.

Adirondack 3, CD Jets 2. The Rivermen snapped a 7 game losing streak with the win, and snapped out of their recent offensive funk. Anthony Goodsell made 16 saves in goal for the Rivermen, who are seeking their 2nd title in 3 years.

Shenendehowa 7, LaSalle 1. As noted previously, the Plainsmen won by the same exact score on January 12, also at home. Freddy Hicks had a goal and 2 assists for Shen. Chase Rose had the lone goal for LaSalle, which was undone by some uncharacteristic, untimely penalties. Frank Ramos, in particular, seemed to have been singled out by the game officials, as he served 17 minutes in penalties all by himself. LaSalle finishes 9-13. Evan Stocker led Shen with 4 goals.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Spa 3, Bethlehem 1. The defending champions are knocked out in the quarters, leaving the door open for Shen to reclaim the title after a lengthy draught.

Saratoga 6, CBA 3. Andrew Nelsen had 2 goals and an assist to lead the Blue Streaks, who will play Burnt Hills on Thursday, while Shen & Adirondack square off.

Section II is taking advantage of winter recess in scheduling Thursday's games.

Adirondack @ Shen, 3:45 pm.

Burnt Hills @ Saratoga, 6:30 pm.

The winners will advance to Union College on Sunday.
