You'll notice that Albany Academy's men's basketball team will not be playing in the sectionals, which begin for the men next week. Academy traditionally waits for the Federation Tournament of Champions, which follows the state tournament, but there is no Federation tournament this year.
Still, Academy finished the Section II portion of its schedule Thursday in dispatching CBA, 77-51, in a makeup game from last month at Siena's UHY Center. The Cadets are 14-4 overall, while CBA dips to 10-10. Albany Academy plays more of an independent schedule, and have 4 games left.

Boxing fans in the 518 looking for something to watch should tune to ESPN's Top Rank Boxing tonight at 9. Albany's Abraham Nova challenges O'Shaquie Foster for the WBC Junior Lightweight title at Madison Square Garden. Best wishes to Nova heading into the fight.
