RPI's men's hockey team would like to avoid another overtime shootout.

Despite getting a vote of confidence a couple of weeks back, Siena men's basketball coach Carmen Maciariello can't buy a break.

"Coach Carm" and the Saints fell again on Sunday, losing to Fairfield,88-64. Mason Courtney (Shenendehowa) & Brandan Coyle paced Siena with 13 points each. The Saints return home to MVP Arena Friday vs. Manhattan.

Speaking of Friday, given how badly Siena has performed, this would be a good time for the Albany Patroons to siphon off some attendance as their home opener is also on Friday night, just up the hill at the Washington Avenue Armory. Across the river in Troy, there'll be high school sectional finals for the women at Hudson Valley Community College, with the Class AA semis kicking off at 6 pm.
