Women's basketball:

Class A:

Catholic Central 50, Indian River 43. The Lady Crusaders move on to play Beekmantown Saturday at Saranac High. Game time has not been finalized. All we know is that it'll be either 5 or 6 pm.

Class B:

Albany Academy 48, Saranac 30. The Bears will play Governeur at SUNY Potsdam Saturday at 1

The Suburban Council named its women's basketball all-star team Wednesday morning. Taylor Holohan of Averill Park was named Player of The Year. As for the teams:

Siena closes its schedule at MVP Arena tonight vs. Niagara (7 pm, WNYA, WJMZ-FM). It's Senior Night, but the Saints have just 1 senior. Bench player Steven Lazar will be honored before the game.
