Troy High alum Mike Kennedy is on the move.
The Pittsburgh Pirates traded Kennedy as part of a package deal with Cleveland Thursday in order to acquire Spencer Horowitz, who had earlier been acquired by the Guardians from Toronto for ex-Met Andres Giminez during the baseball winter meetings.
We'll be keeping an eye out on Kennedy during the 2025 season.

Earlier this week, we speculated that Troy High's basketball games vs. Schalmont were moved to Thursday due to the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, which actually starts Christmas Day this year. No other reason has been discerned for the change, however, but, as usual, the press is the last to know.
Anyway, the Lady Sabres spoiled the home opener for Troy, 57-44, while the men were blown out of their gym by the Horses, 94-60. Stats coming tomorrow.
