When Siena's men's basketball team plays Niagara tonight (JAMZ 96.3, 6:30 pm), coach Gerry McNamara will see an old friend on the opposite sideline.
Greg Paulus, a former teammate of McNamara at Syracuse, is the first year coach at Niagara, which will ratchet up the in-state rivalry between Niagara & Siena going forward.

Football season in the 518, at least at the high school level, ends tomorrow with state finals at Syracuse.
In Class C, it'll be Schuylerville vs. Salamanca at 12 noon. We're sticking with the Black Horses, though we do see a tough matchup.
In Class AA, CBA of Albany will meet their Syracuse counterparts in the nightcap at 6 pm. Bob Burns returns to Syracuse for the first time since 2017, and his Brothers have the same kind of dominant vibe that his Troy teams had back then. The Albany Brothers will take home their first state title.
