UAlbany is looking for a new head football coach.
Greg Gattuso is leaving Albany after 11 seasons to return to his alma mater, Penn State, as a defensive assistant under head coach James Franklin. This was a big enough deal to merit front page headlines in the morning papers today.
After reaching the FCS semifinals 14 months ago, the Great Danes tumbled out of the penthouse and almost back to rock bottom in 2024. Gattuso succeeded the legendary Bob Ford, for whom the field at Casey Stadium is named, in 2014.
