UAlbany's women's basketball team will have home court for the America East championship game after beating Maine, 49-41, on Monday at Broadview Center. Kayla Cooper led Albany with 16 points in a low-scoring affair.
The Lady Danes will host Vermont, Friday at 5 pm, and the game will air on ESPNU (Spectrum channel 370).

RPI is parting company with hockey coach Dave Smith after 7 seasons. The Engineers finished a woeful 12-21-2 this season, and 87-152-19 under Smith during his tenure. Smith was actually at RPI for 8 years, but there were no games in 2020-1 due to COVID.
A national search is already underway to find the next coach.
