As noted last time, Section II spread out week 9 of the football season across three days instead of two, figuring that everyone's attention would be on the Class A & C playoffs tonight, even though it seems likely that those games could end up finishing in the rain, if the forecasts hold up.
That having been said, let's start the Thursday recap with football.

Glens Falls 43, Green Tech 6. The Black Bears wrapped up the Class B regular season title a while ago, proof that a reporter's lack of wisdom does provide bulletin board material.

CBA 12, Colonie 0.
Guilderland 26, Shaker 21. The Dutchmen appear to have clinched the #4 seed in Class AA, and a date with CBA next week.

Hoosick Falls 4, Granville 0.

Guilderland def. Shenendehowa in a shootout after the teams played to a 1-1 tie through overtime.

South Glens Falls 3, Troy 1. The Lady Horses may have been emotionally scarred after getting screwed by Section II earlier this week. The season ends at 18-1.
