Ever since the season started, Troy High's women have collected receipts, avenging losses last season to Catholic Central, Schalmont, LaSalle, & Holy Names.
Albany Academy was the last one on the list, and, arguably, the most difficult task. However, the Bears fell into a trap, losing to Shaker, a Class AAA squad, on Tuesday. Academy, an A school, vs. Troy, a AA school, was, arguably, the game of the year in the Colonial Council, and it was as advertised, as Will Harris' Lady Horses put a 6 game winning streak on the line.
Academy took the early lead as they kept getting free for easy layups until Harris adjusted the defense, and the Troy offense took flight........
Troy has now won 7 in a row, as the Bears suffer their 2nd straight loss. Troy (9-0 Colonial Council, 13-2 overall) now has first place all to themselves, as they prepare to travel to Voorheesville on Tuesday.
