News & notes

Siena & UAlbany will meet tonight for just the 3rd time in the last 10 years.

The game, scheduled for 7 pm, absent any thunderstorms, will be in honor of former Siena coach & UAlbany alumnus Liam Gleeson, who passed away in December. Albany beat Siena in the NCAA tournament a year ago.

Pro wrestling returns to the 518 with 2 events over the next few weeks.

A midget card, featuring Short Sleeve Sampson, will take place at the Washington Avenue Armory on Saturday. Tickets start at $15. Sampson had a brief cup of coffee with WWE in 2005.

In July, TNA brings their Impact program to town for 2 nights of tapings on July 1-2. What is not clear is if they'll be back at the acoustically challenged Armory, or they'll move down the hill to the Capital Center. Impact airs Thursdays at 9 pm on AMC (Spectrum channel 105).
