 The Tri-City ValleyCats welcomed back Jake Reinisch (Shen/Wake Forest), who made an immediate impact offensively, and said goodbye to pitcher Stephen Still, whose contract was transferred to the Baltimore Orioles.

Unfortunately, John Montes hit two home runs to lift Trois Rivieres (Three Rivers) to a 6-4 win over the slumping 'Cats, who've now lost 6 in a row. Game 2 is this morning at 10 am, the first of four Education Days on the schedule.
