Tonight's card includes the Class D semifinals in Glens Falls, while women's Classes A & AA will set their final round matchups.
Tuesday's games provided a lot of surprises, though.
The Class C semifinals in both men's & women's play saw Hoosick Falls & Maple Hill matched against each other. Hoosick Falls won both games in what have to be considered major upsets. The women's game was a low-scoring affair, with Hoosick Falls advancing to Friday's title game, 38-28. The men's game was a little more one-sided, as Hoosick Falls completed the sweep with a 56-38 verdict.
The Hoosick Falls women will play Cambridge on Friday night at Hudson Valley Community College after Cambridge downed Warrensburg, 64-49.
In women's Class B, Mechanicville defeated Mekeel Christian Academy, 62-38. Fonda-Fultonville upset Tamarac, the top seed, 52-41. Fonda & Mechanicville will play Saturday morning at HVCC, leading off a tripleheader at McDonough Field House.
In Men's Class AA, top seeded Bethlehem got a scare from CBA before winning, 50-48. The Brothers were the only team to beat the Eagles so far this season, having beaten Bethlehem in the last regular season game two weeks ago. In order to win their 2nd Section II title in three years, A. G. Irons' club will have to go through third seeded Saratoga, which knocked off #2 Shenendehowa, 60-53.
The Class A men's semifinals will be played tomorrow in Glens Falls, and then, the titles will be decided Friday & Saturday. The C & D title games will be on Friday, while Classes AA-B will be on Saturday.
