The Albany Patroons have fallen from the ranks of the unbeaten in The Basketball League, having suffered back-to-back losses over the weekend to fall to 4-2, and out of first place, down to third. Like, did you really think they'd go undefeated this year?

Alumni watch: Siena won just its 2nd road game of the season in knocking off Fairfield on Sunday afternoon. Jordan King (CBA) hit a key three pointer late in the second half, finishing with 9 points,  and Elijah Burns (LaSalle) led the Saints with 15 points.

Joseph Girard III (Glens Falls) had 15 points, hitting a key trey in the second half to carry Syracuse past Georgia Tech in ACC play.

Pittsburgh's softball team closed out the Pirate Invite on a downer, losing to host East Carolina, 9-1, in 5 innings. Hunter Levesque (Troy) went 1-2. The Panthers are now 5-7 on the season, and will visit North Carolina this weekend.

Virgnia Commonwealth downed Sacred Heart on Sunday to take their first home series, 2 games to 1. Danny Watson (Columbia) went 2 1/3 in relief to pick up his second win of the season. Brett Young (Albany Academy) went 0-2 with a walk for the second straight game.

Tuesday:

LaSalle @ CBA. The Brothers swept the regular season series, but the Cadets may have found their missing mojo in beating Albany Academy on Saturday.

Wednesday:

Shenendehowa @ Saratoga.
Adirondack @ "Guilderville".
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake-Ballston Spa @ Bethlehem.

Winners will advance to the semi-finals at Union College on Saturday. Ye scribe is not making any predictions.
