Shenendehowa grad Ian Anderson will have the most important start of his major league career on Sunday, as he takes the mound in the final game of the National League Championship Series. Los Angeles & Atlanta are tied at 3 games apiece after the Dodgers defeated the Braves, 3-1, earlier tonight. Locally, the game will air on WXXA following NFL football.

After the coronavirus forced a premature end to the 2019-20 college basketball season, Albany's Times-Union Center will get another chance to host the NCAA men's basketball tournament in 2023. In addition, they will also host the women's tournament early round, and hockey regionals between 2022-26. Siena College & the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will host the basketball tournaments, while the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC), together with Union College & RPI, will host the hockey regionals.

Troy High's women's tennis team just needs to win a set. Period.

It was another day, another shutout loss, as Troy was swept, 9-0, by Niskayuna earlier today. Not a good way to start a 3 meet road trip, which continues Monday at Columbia. Last night's meet vs. Colonie was rained out, as expected, with no make-up date set.
