High school scoreboard, 2/23

To update our report on last night's Bethlehem-LaSalle game, the Eagles' goals were scored by Jackson Carroll, Nikolas Lifite, Willem Kotary, & Anthony Denison. We must stress that the lack of a PA system at the venue leaves us unable to properly credit or identify players.

And it's not helping that the result was not submitted in time for this morning's papers.

LaSalle remains undefeated in the Colonial Council, hammering Ichabod Crane, 73-39. Garrett Myers led all scorers with 20 points, with Owen Kane adding 11. The Cadets are right back in action today against Mohonasen, which defeated Catholic Central, 67-50.

Other scores:

Colonial Council (men):

Ravena rebounded from a blowout loss to LaSalle by beating Cobleskill, 55-48.

They are finally playing in Washington & Fulton counties. Cambridge opened their season by hammering Duanesburg, 84-49. The Phillips twins, Sophie & Lily, combined for 50 points (27 & 23, respectively).

Back on the ice, CBA sent Albany Academy to its 3rd straight loss, 8-3, in the Brothers' season opener. Ryan (Family) Dollar & Tommy Vogel tallied 2 goals apiece for CBA, as Anthony Zaccaria made 30 saves. Academy coach Dave Rider decided that goaltender Carter Morton had to take one for the team, giving up all 8 goals, while also recording 30 saves.

The Guilderville-Shenendehowa game was postponed, more likely cancelled with 2 weeks remaining in the season, due to COVID-related issues involving the Storm.
