Beaten by a different kind of bug

With 2 games left on the schedule and no postseason in sight, UAlbany football coach Greg Gattuso announced Wednesday that the Great Danes have opted out for the remainder of the spring season, citing a rash of injuries, including a rib injury to QB Jeff Undercuffler that would've left him out of Saturday's game at Delaware.

UAlbany has lost three straight, and will finish the season 1-3. Shutting things down now gives Gattuso time to get his team healthy for the fall 2021 season in September.
