News & notes

Former Union College star Shayne Gostisbehere was placed on waivers by the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday. Gostisbehere has 5 goals and 6 assists (11 points) in 25 games this season, but reportedly has experienced a drop-off in production over the last three years. If no one claims him, he may stay with Philadelphia or be released and become a free agent. We'll see.

Antonio Rizzuto has made his departure from UAlbany final by transferring to Towson State for next season. His departure will weaken the Great Danes considerably next season. On top of that, Adam Lulka announced Monday he would not return next season, and is headed home to his native Australia.
