News & notes

 RPI's football team might want to change their name from the Engineers to the Cardiacs.

For the 2nd straight week, RPI stole victory from the jaws of defeat, this time with George Marinopoulos finding Delano Munoz-Whatts for the game winning score with 33 seconds left to defeat Stevenson University, 14-10.

Check the video:

RPI's men's soccer team hosted Plattsburgh State in the second half of a football-soccer double-dip at East Campus Village Stadium, and won, 5-1.
===============================
Union College remains unbeaten in football, as well, blowing away Worcester State, 62-13. Something tells me the Battle For The Dutchmen's Shoes at the end of the season is going to be an absolute banger of a game.
===============================
The Tri-City Valleycats enter play today a game behind Equipe Quebec, and need Sussex County to beat Equipe Quebec this afternoon, assuming the 'Cats can beat Washington again, to gain a playoff spot. Tri-City defeated the Wild Things, 3-0, on Saturday night, setting up a dramatic final day of the regular season.
=================================
UAlbany spoiled its home opener at Casey Stadium Saturday night, dropping a 16-14 decision to Rhode Island. The Danes embark on a three game road trip starting next Saturday at Syracuse, which lost to Rutgers, 17-7, earlier Saturday. If you're a UAlbany fan heading to the Carrier Dome next week, bring some Rolaids, because this could get ugly.
