News & notes

Citing a "player shortage" at South Glens Falls, the Bulldogs' football game vs. Troy High was postponed again on Monday, spoiling Homecoming at Troy. No makeup date has been set, but there is the prospect that if Troy doesn't make the playoffs, they could reschedule the game for either November 5 or 12. In that case, Homecoming would be on October 29, when Troy has the Collar City Cup on the line vs. LaSalle. Stay tuned.

Shenendehowa's Ian Anderson gave up just three hits over five innings while striking out six, as Atlanta defeated Milwaukee, 3-0, on Monday to take a 2-1 lead in their NLDS. The Braves could close out Milwaukee later today.
