LaSalle quarterback Eddie Yamin was named the Albany Times-Union's Male Athlete of The Week for his late game heroics last Friday on Senior Night vs. Amsterdam. Scotia-Glenville's Olivia Geniti, a field hockey standout, was named Female Athlete of The Week.
Yamin becomes the 2nd LaSalle athlete to win Male Athlete honors. Track star Getachew "Gitch" Hayes won back-to-back plaudits earlier this month.

Earlier this month, RPI's women's hockey team began their current winning streak by sweeping Union. This weekend, the men have a chance to do the same.
The hockey equivalent of the Dutchmen's Shoes, which will be on the line on November 13, is the Capital Skates, which will be up for grabs in the annual home & home between the Engineers & Dutchmen this weekend. As was the case with the women, game 1 will be at Union on Friday, and the action shifts over to Houston Field House on Saturday. Saturday's game will be seen on RPI TV.
