News & notes

The Frontier League has released its 2022 schedule, and the Tri-City Valleycats, as of now, will be doing some extra traveling.

The team opens on the road at Florence, Kentucky, on May 12 for a 3 game series against the Y'alls (??) before coming home to Bruno Stadium May 17 for series vs. Lake Erie and Windy City (yes, a Chicago area minor league team). After playing the same five teams in 2021 due to COVID, the 'Cats are happy to have some variety. For example, they'll only play arch-nemesis Sussex County 9 times in 2022, with 6 of the 9 in Troy. Tri-City will have 53 home dates, 43 on the road, in 2022.
