Saturday's high school & college scoreboard, 11/13

Only one Section II football title remains undecided, and fans will return to Christian Brothers Academy today for the Class B championship game, postponed Saturday due to heavy rain & lightning. Kickoff is now set for 4 pm for the Ravena-Gloversville game.

Meanwhile, Burnt Hills reclaimed its perch atop Class A after three years away, defeating Queensbury, 21-0. The result, however, came with a price.

A rarely invoked Section II rule resulted in Burnt Hills coach Matt Shell being ejected after his Spartans were accessed two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties late in the game. In high school football, the coach is held more responsible for the conduct of his players, since he's also part of the school faculty in most cases. That means Shell could miss the Spartans' state regional game on Friday. That hasn't been confirmed as of press time.

In recent years, Burnt Hills has had problems getting to Syracuse and the state title game, usually losing in the semi-final round. We'll see what happens this time.

Over in Class D, Greenwich downed Stillwater, 31-7.
