News & notes

De'Vondre Perry was thought lost for the season, and UAlbany carried on without him.

Until Tuesday.

Perry returned to action in the home finale against Hartford, and contributed six points. Jamel Horton was the only Great Dane in double figures with 24, and it was not enough, as the Hawks beat Albany, 67-55. The Great Danes will be the #5 seed in the America East tournament, with their first game taking place Sunday at a site to be determined.

It has been 8 years since Shenendehowa had won the Capital District High School Hockey League's Delvecchio Cup.

On Tuesday, the draught came to an end.

Nolan Sullivan, whose four goal showcase performance landed him on SportsCenter on Sunday, added two more goals, one of six Plainsmen to light the lamp, and Shen denied Adirondack a 2nd straight title, 7-2, at Union College's Messa Rink. Shen moves on to play Monroe-Woodbury on Saturday in Newburgh.

Queensbury, which doesn't play in the Section II tournament, will face John Jay in state play on Saturday.
