Monday's high school scoreboard, 4/11

One week after Colonie opened the season with a no-hitter vs. Troy, Shaker's Andrew Dongelewic hurled one of his own, as the Blue Bison defeated Ballston Spa, 1-0. Dongelewic fanned six, but also walked five. It is high school ball, after all. Shaker is now 2-0 on the season.

Troy High, meanwhile, can't get out of the gate. The defending Class A champs are 0-3 after being shut out by Averill Park, 2-0. However, there is no linescore or box score in today's paper, as the result was not submitted to the press. The only way we know about it is via AP's Twitter feed.

Averill Park also kept Troy winless in men's tennis with a 9-0 shutout. We're still waiting for the result of last Friday's Troy-Shaker tennis meet, but we suspect that it was rained out. Averill Park completed the three sport sweep for the day in handing Troy softball its 2nd straight loss, 7-2. The bare bones linescore submitted to the press doesn't tell us who was in the circle for Troy (3-2, 1-2 Suburban Council).
