Section 2 baseball sectional pairings

 For this year's baseball sectionals, all roads lead back to Joe Bruno Stadium, but this time, there's a twist in Class AA. The title game is now a best of 3, just like in the College World Series, so you can see where Section 2 suits got the idea. Tournament play begins tomorrow. Here, then, are the pairings for this year's tournament, by class.

Class AA:

Wednesday:

#10 Niskayuna @ #7 Saratoga. Winner plays #2 Guilderland on Friday.

#9 Bethlehem @ #8 Columbia. Winner plays #1 Colonie on Friday.

The semi-finals will be at Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam on Monday. The championship series starts May 27 at Bruno Stadium, with the 3rd and deciding game, if needed, set for a 7 pm start on May 29.
