 The Albany Dutchmen will wrap up their season tonight, hoping for a playoff spot. If they don't make the post-season, it will mark the end of Nick Davey's tenure as manager.


Davey is retiring after 13 seasons to spend more time with his family, especially now that his sons are playing youth baseball.

The Tri-City Valleycats took two out of three from the Joliet Slammers in Illinois, winning Thursday's game, 2-1. All-Star Brantley Bell has been on a home run tear, having left the yard in seven straight games as the team heads for Evansville, Indiana tonight to open a series with the Otters, whose ballpark is located on Don Mattingly Way, named for the 80's Yankee icon and current Miami Marlins manager.
