Troy High went into Monday's game at Hudson Falls looking for their first win of the season. The host Tigers likewise were looking to break into the win column.
The end result suggested that the Tigers might be the weaker of the two teams.
Troy needed to make sure that if they were leading or tied at halftime to close out the opposition. Twice in three games, they had let their opponents off the hook, and it cost them. Not so this time. Leo Clemenzi had a hat trick. Jakob Kaczmar had four goals to add to his team-leading total, and Troy routed Hudson Falls, 8-2.
Troy (1-3, 0-2 Suburban Council) now gets a couple of days rest before continuing their four game road trip at Averill Park on Thursday before a Saturday brunch special at Albany Academy.
