News & notes

We don't have any attendance figures as yet on last night's AEW card at MVP Arena. As fellow blogger Chuck Miller, who was there, explains, AEW Dark-Elevation, which airs on YouTube on Mondays, is taped first. Then comes the live broadcast of Dynamite on TBS, from 8-10 pm. After a break, Rampage, which runs Fridays on TNT, is taped in advance. The card didn't end until 11:30, which meant some fans were exhausted by the end of the show, and those same folks likely have today off from work.

Ian Anderson's season is over.

The Atlanta Braves pitcher, a graduate of Shenendehowa, finishes out the season on the injured list at Triple A Gwinnett due to an oblique strain. WNYT sports anchor Rodget Wyland shares this information in today's Albany Times-Union.

We must stress again that if your school's scores don't appear in the local papers, it's not just because of deadlines, but also space considerations. That said, bear in mind we obtain the bulk of our men's soccer scores from Section II through Capital Region Soccer. There's also a site we use to obtain swimming/diving results that don't make the paper.

Beginning with tomorrow's football home opener vs. South Glens Falls, Troy has joined Gofan's digital ticketing service. Tickets remain the same, $3 per person. Hopefully, they don't increase the price on game day.
