News & notes

 For those of you planning to attend tonight's Amsterdam-Troy women's soccer game at Picken Field, the starting time is 7 pm, not 5 pm, as noted in the Albany Times-Union. Troy, oh by the way, has long given up on doing live streams on YouTube for outdoor sporting events. The YouTube channel will be in use for volleyball and basketball home games, and other school functions, such as graduation exercises in June.
=======================================
The Colonial Council added a golf tournament for the women this season, and, surprise, surprise, reigning state individual champion Kennedy Swedick of Albany Academy won the individual competition.

The Bears (that's the nickname for the women's teams at AA) will be right back in action today vs. the Academy of Holy Names. Swedick was named female athlete of the week by the Times-Union.
